1. And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron. ;2Cron 24.20
And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. ;SMS

2. And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
Iac 4.8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. ;2Cron 15.4-15
But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. ;1Cron 28.9
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. ;2Cron 33.12-13
And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, ;Ier 29.13
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. ;Mat 7.7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ;2Cron 24.20

3. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
Osea 3.4
For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: ;Lev 10.11
And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses. ;SMS

4. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
Deut 4.29
But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. ;SMS

5. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
Jud 5.6
In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways. ;SMS

6. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
Mat 24.7
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. ;SMS

7. Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

8. And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
2Cron 13.19
And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephraim with the towns thereof. ;SMS

9. And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
2Cron 11.16
And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers. ;SMS

10. So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
