Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. ;

4. For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them.

5. He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

6. He hath made me also a byword of the people; and aforetime I was as a tabret.
Iov 30.9
And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword. ;

7. Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.

Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. ;Ps 31.9
Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly. ;

8. Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

9. The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Ps 24.4
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. ;

10. But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.
Iov 6.29
Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it. ;
