1. Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Ex 19.16-18
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. ;1Imp 19.11
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: ;Ezec 1.4
And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. ;Nah 1.3
The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. ;

2. Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom. ;Iov 42.3
Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. ;1Tim 1.7
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. ;

3. Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Iov 40.7
Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. ;

4. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Ps 104.5
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. ;Prov 8.29
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: ;Prov 30.4
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? ;

5. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

6. Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. ;

8. Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: ;Ier 5.22

9. When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

10. And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. ;
