1. Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2. How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
3. Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
Gen 18.25
That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? ;Deut 32.4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. ;2Cron 19.7
Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. ;Iov 34.17
Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just? ;Dan 9.14
Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. ;Rom 3.5
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) ;
4. If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
Iov 1.5-18
And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. ;
5. If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
Iov 5.8
I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: ;Iov 11.13
If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; ;Iov 22.23-etc
If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. ;
6. If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
7. Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
8. For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
Deut 4.32
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? ;Deut 32.7
Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. ;Iov 15.18
Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it: ;
9. (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
Gen 47.9
And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage. ;1Cron 29.18
O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: ;Iov 7.6

My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. ;Ps 144.4
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. ;
10. Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
