1. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? ;Ps 84.2
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. ;Ps 143.6
I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. ;

2. To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
1Sam 4.21
And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. ;1Cron 16.11
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. ;Ps 27.4
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. ;Ps 78.61
And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand. ;

3. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. ;

4. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Ps 104.33
I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. ;Ps 146.2
While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. ;

5. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Ps 36.8
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. ;

6. When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. ;Ps 119.55

7. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9. But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10. They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
