1. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

2. Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
Ps 115.9
O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. ;

3. Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4. Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

5. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

7. The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
Ps 54.4
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. ;Ps 59.10
The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies. ;

8. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Ps 40.4
Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. ;Ps 62.8-9
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. ;Ier 17.5-7
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. ;

9. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
Ps 146.3
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. ;

10. All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
