1. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Prov 18.10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. ;

4. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
Ps 27.4
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. ;Ps 17.8
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, ;Ps 57.1
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. ;Ps 91.4
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. ;

5. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6. Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
Ps 21.4
He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. ;

7. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
Ps 40.11
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. ;Prov 20.28
Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy. ;

8. So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
