11. I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: ;Ier 24.9
And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them. ;

12. They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
Iov 30.9
And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword. ;Ps 35.15-16
But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: ;

13. But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
Isa 49.8
Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; ;Isa 55.6
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: ;2Cor 6.2
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) ;

14. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; ;Ps 69.1-15
Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. ;

15. Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. ;

16. Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

17. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. ;Ps 102.2
Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily. ;

18. Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

19. Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
Ps 22.6-7
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. ;Isa 53.3
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. ;Evr 12.2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. ;

20. Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
