21. Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
Prov 10.23It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom. ;
Efes 5.15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, ;
22. Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
Prov 11.14Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. ;
Prov 20.18Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war. ;
23. A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Prov 25.11A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. ;
24. The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
Col 3.1-2If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. ;
25. The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
Prov 12.7The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand. ;
Prov 14.11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. ;
Ps 68.5-6A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. ;
Ps 146.9The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. ;
26. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
Prov 6.16-18These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: ;
Ps 37.30The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. ;
27. He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
Prov 11.19As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. ;
Isa 5.8Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth! ;
Ier 17.11As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. ;
28. The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
1Pet 3.15But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: ;
29. The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
Ps 10.1Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? ;
Ps 34.16The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. ;
Ps 145.18-19The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. ;
30. The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
