11. The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
Prov 14.29
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. ;Iac 1.19
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: ;Prov 16.32
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. ;

12. The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.

The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. ;Prov 20.2
The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul. ;Prov 28.15
As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. ;Osea 14.5
I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. ;

13. A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.

It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. ;Prov 27.15
A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike. ;

14. House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. ;

15. Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.

How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? ;Prov 10.4
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. ;Prov 20.13
Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. ;Prov 23.21
For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. ;

16. He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.

17. He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

18. Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. ;Prov 29.17
Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. ;

19. A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.

20. Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
Ps 37.37
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. ;
