1. The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
Num 12.6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. ;
2. Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
Deut 32.1Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. ;
Ier 2.12Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. ;
Ier 6.19Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it. ;
Ier 22.29O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. ;

3. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Ier 8.7Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD. ;
Ier 9.3-6And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD. ;
Isa 5.12And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands. ;
4. Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
Isa 57.3-4But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore. ;
Mat 3.7But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ;
5. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
Isa 9.13For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts. ;
Ier 2.30In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion. ;
Ier 5.3O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. ;
6. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
Ier 8.22Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? ;
7. Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Deut 28.51-52And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. ;
8. And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
Iov 27.18He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh. ;
PlAnd he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest. ;
Ier 4.17As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD. ;
9. Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
PlIt is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. ;
Rom 9.29And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. ;
Gen 19.24Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; ;
10. Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
Deut 32.32For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: ;
Ezec 16.46And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters. ;
