1. Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2. Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
2Imp 25.1And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about. ;
Ier 39.1In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it. ;
Ier 52.4And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about. ;
3. And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
Ezec 17.12Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon; ;
Ier 1.13And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. ;
Ezec 11.3Which say, It is not near; let us build houses: this city is the caldron, and we be the flesh. ;
4. Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.
5. Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
6. Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
Ezec 22.3Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself. ;
Ezec 23.37That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them. ;
Ezec 24.9Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great. ;
2Sam 8.2And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts. ;
Ioel 3.3And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. ;
Naum 3.10Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains. ;
7. For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
Lev 17.13And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. ;
Deut 12.16-24Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water. ;
8. That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
Mat 7.2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. ;
9. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
Ezec 24.6Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it. ;
Nah 3.1Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not; ;
Hab 2.12Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity! ;
10. Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.
