1. Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
Mat 10.1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. ;
Marc 3.13And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him. ;
Marc 6.7And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; ;
2. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Mat 10.7-8And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. ;
Marc 6.12And they went out, and preached that men should repent. ;
Luca 10.1-9After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. ;
3. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
Mat 10.9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, ;
Marc 6.8And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: ;
Luca 10.4Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. ;
Luca 22.35And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. ;
4. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
Mat 10.11And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. ;
Marc 6.10And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. ;
5. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Mat 10.14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. ;
Fapt 13.51But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. ;
6. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

7. Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;

Marc 6.14And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. ;
8. And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.
9. And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
Luca 23.8And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. ;
10. And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
Marc 6.30And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. ;
Mat 14.13When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. ;
