1. And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
1Cor 1.12Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. ;
1Cor 3.5-6Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? ;
2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
1Sam 3.7Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. ;
Fapt 8.16(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) ;
3. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Fapt 18.25This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. ;
4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Mat 3.11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: ;
Ioan 1.15-30John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. ;
Fapt 1.5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. ;
Fapt 11.16Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. ;
Fapt 13.24-25When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. ;
5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Fapt 6.6Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. ;
Fapt 8.17Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. ;

7. And all the men were about twelve.
8. And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
Fapt 17.2And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, ;
Fapt 18.4And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. ;
Fapt 1.3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: ;
Fapt 28.23And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. ;
9. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
2Tim 1.15This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. ;
2Pet 2.2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. ;
Fapt 9.2And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. ;
Fapt 22.4And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. ;
Fapt 24.14But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: ;
Fapt 19.23And the same time there arose no small stir about that way. ;
10. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
Fapt 20.31Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. ;
