1. And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
1Cor 1.12
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. ;1Cor 3.5-6
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? ;

2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
1Sam 3.7
Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. ;Fapt 8.16
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) ;

3. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Fapt 18.25
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. ;

4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Mat 3.11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: ;Ioan 1.15-30
John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. ;Fapt 1.5
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. ;Fapt 11.16
Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. ;Fapt 13.24-25
When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. ;

5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

7. And all the men were about twelve.

8. And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. ;Fapt 1.3
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: ;Fapt 28.23
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. ;

9. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
2Tim 1.15
This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. ;2Pet 2.2
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. ;Fapt 9.2

And the same time there arose no small stir about that way. ;

10. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
Fapt 20.31
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. ;
