1. Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
SMS 2. Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,
Fapt 24.1And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul. ;
Fapt 25.15About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him. ;
SMS 3. And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.
Fapt 23.12-15And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. ;
SMS 4. But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.
SMS 5. Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.
Fapt 18.14And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you: ;
Fapt 25.18Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed: ;
SMS 6. And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.
SMS 7. And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
Marc 15.3And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. ;
Luc 23.2-10And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King. ;
Fapt 24.5-13For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes: ;
SMS 8. While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
Fapt 6.13And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law: ;
Fapt 24.12And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: ;
Fapt 28.17And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans. ;
SMS 9. But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?
Fapt 24.27But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound. ;
Fapt 25.20And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters. ;
SMS 10. Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.
