1. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Tit 3.1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, ;
1Pet 2.13Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; ;
Prov 8.15-16By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. ;
Dan 2.21And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: ;
Dan 4.32And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. ;
Ioan 19.11Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. ;
2. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
1Pet 2.14Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. ;
1Pet 3.13And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? ;
4. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Ecl 8.2I counsel thee to keep the king's commandment, and that in regard of the oath of God. ;
1Pet 2.19For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. ;
6. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Mat 22.21They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. ;
Marc 12.17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him. ;
Luc 20.25And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's. ;
8. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Rom 13.10Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. ;
Gal 5.14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ;
Col 3.14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. ;
1Tim 1.5Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: ;
Iac 2My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. ;
9. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Ex 20.13Thou shalt not kill. ;
Deut 5.17Thou shalt not kill. ;
Mat 19.18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, ;
Lev 19.18Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD. ;
Mat 22.39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ;
Marc 12.31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. ;
Gal 5.14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ;
Iac 2.8If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: ;
10. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Mat 22.40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. ;
