11. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

15. But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. ;Deut 32.6
Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? ;Isa 51.13
And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? ;2Sam 22.47
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. ;Ps 89.26
He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. ;Ps 95.1
O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. ;SMS

16. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
1Imp 14.22
And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done. ;1Cor 10.22
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? ;SMS

17. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
Lev 17.7
And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations. ;Ps 106.37
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, ;1Cor 10.20
But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. ;Apoc 9.20
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: ;SMS

18. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
Isa 17.10
Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: ;Ier 2.32
Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number. ;SMS

19. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
Jud 2.14
And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. ;Isa 1.2
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. ;SMS

20. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
Deut 31.17
Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? ;Isa 30.9
That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: ;Mat 17.17
Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. ;SMS
