1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
Efes 1.1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: ;SMS

2. To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Cor 4.17
For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. ;Efes 6.21
But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: ;Gal 1.3
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, ;SMS

3. We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

4. Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; ;Evr 6.10
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. ;SMS

5. For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. ;1Pet 1.4
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ;SMS

6. Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. ;Filip 1.11
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. ;2Cor 6.1
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. ;Efes 3.2
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: ;Tit 2.11
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, ;1Pet 5.12
By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. ;SMS

7. As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
Col 4.12
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. ;2Cor 11.23
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. ;1Tim 4.6
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. ;SMS

8. Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
Rom 15.30
Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; ;SMS

9. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. ;1Tes 4.1
Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. ;Ioan 15.16

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, ;Evr 13.21
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ;SMS
