1. Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, ;2Tim 1.8
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; ;Filim 1.9
Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. ;Filip 2.25
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. ;

2. And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. ;Filip 2.25

3. Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4. I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; ;

5. Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, ;Col 1.4
Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, ;

6. That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Filip 1.9-11
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; ;

7. For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
2Cor 7.13
Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. ;2Tim 1.16

8. Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
