1. And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.
Ios 21.44
And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. ;Ios 22.4
And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan. ;Ios 13.1
Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. ;SMS

2. And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:
Deut 31.28
Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them. ;Ios 24.1
And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God. ;1Cron 28.1
And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem. ;SMS

3. And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you.
Ex 14.14
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. ;Ios 10.14-42
And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. ;SMS

4. Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
Ios 13.2-6
This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri, ;Ios 18.10
And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions. ;SMS

5. And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.
Ex 23.30
By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land. ;Ex 33.2
And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: ;Ex 34.11
Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. ;Deut 11.23
Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. ;Ios 13.6
All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee. ;Num 33.53
And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it. ;SMS

6. Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;
Ios 1.7
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. ;Deut 5.32
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. ;Deut 28.14
And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. ;SMS

7. That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
Ex 23.33
They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee. ;Deut 7.2-3
And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them: ;Prov 4.14
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. ;Efes 5.11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. ;Ex 23.13
And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth. ;Ps 16.4
Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. ;Ier 5.7
How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses. ;Tef 1.5
And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham; ;Num 32.38
And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded. ;SMS

8. But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.
Deut 10.20
Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name. ;Deut 11.22
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; ;Deut 13.4
Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. ;Ios 22.5
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. ;SMS

9. For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
Deut 11.23
Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. ;Ios 1.5
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. ;SMS

10. One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
Lev 26.8
And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. ;Deut 32.30
How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? ;Jud 3.31
And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel. ;Jud 15.15
And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. ;2Sam 23.8
These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time. ;Ex 14.14
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. ;Ex 23.27
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. ;Deut 3.22
Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. ;SMS
