1. Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,
Efes 4.22-31
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; ;Col 3.8
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. ;Evr 12.1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ;Iac 1.21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. ;Iac 5.9
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. ;1Pet 4.2
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. ;SMS

2. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Mat 18.3
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. ;Marc 10.15
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. ;Rom 6.4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. ;1Cor 14.20
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. ;1Pet 1.23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. ;1Cor 3.2
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. ;Evr 5.12-13
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. ;SMS

3. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Ps 34.8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. ;Evr 6.5
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, ;SMS

4. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
Mat 21.42
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? ;Fapt 4.11
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. ;SMS

5. Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Efes 2.21-22
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: ;Evr 3.6
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. ;Isa 61.6
But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. ;Isa 66.21
And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. ;1Pet 2.9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; ;Osea 14.2
Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. ;Mal 1.11
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts. ;Rom 12.11
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; ;Evr 13.15-16
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. ;Filip 4.18
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. ;1Pet 4.11
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ;SMS

6. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Isa 28.16
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. ;Rom 9.32
Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; ;SMS

7. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Ps 118.22
The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. ;Mat 21.42
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? ;Fapt 4.11

8. And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
Isa 8.14
And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. ;Luc 2.34
And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; ;Rom 9.33
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. ;1Cor 1.23
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; ;Ex 9.16
And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. ;Rom 9.22
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: ;1Tes 5.9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, ;SMS

Deut 10.15
Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. ;1Pet 1.2
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. ;Ex 19.5-6

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, ;Deut 4.20
But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day. ;Deut 7.6
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. ;Deut 14.2
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. ;Deut 26.18-19
And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; ;Fapt 20.28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. ;Efes 1.14
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. ;Tit 2.14
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ;Fapt 26.18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. ;Efes 5.8
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: ;Col 1.13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: ;1Tes 5.4-5
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. ;SMS

10. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Osea 1.9-10
Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God. ;Osea 2.23
And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. ;Rom 9.25
As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. ;SMS
