1. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
Ex 2.23
And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. ;1Sam 9.16
To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me. ;Ps 18.6
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. ;SMS

2. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. ;Ps 69.17
And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. ;Ps 71.2
Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. ;Ps 88.2
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; ;SMS

3. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.

For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes. ;Iac 4.14
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. ;Iov 30.30
My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat. ;Ps 31.10

From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day. ;SMS

4. My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.

My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. ;SMS

5. By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth. ;Pl
Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. ;SMS

6. I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.

7. I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
