1. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

2. Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

3. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

4. For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
Lev 23.24
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. ;Num 10.10
Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God. ;SMS

5. This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

6. I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
Isa 9.4
For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. ;Isa 10.27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. ;Ex 1.14

This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them. ;SMS

8. Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
Ps 50.7
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. ;SMS

9. There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
Deut 32.12
So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. ;Isa 43.12
I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. ;Ex 20.3-5
