1. Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
Ex 3.5
And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. ;Isa 1.12
When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? ;1Sam 15.22

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. ;
3. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

4. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. ;
