1. O israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
Osea 12.6
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually. ;Ioel 2.13
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. ;Osea 13.9
O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help. ;

2. Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
Evr 13.15
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. ;

3. Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
Ier 31.18
I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God. ;Osea 5.13
When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound. ;Osea 12.1
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt. ;Deut 17.16
But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way. ;Ps 33.17
An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. ;Isa 30.2-16
That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! ;Isa 31.1
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! ;Osea 2.17
For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. ;Osea 14.8
Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. ;Ps 10.14
Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. ;Ps 68.5
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. ;

4. I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
Ier 5.6
Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. ;Ier 14.7
O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. ;Osea 11.7
And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him. ;Efes 1.6
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. ;

5. I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
Iov 29.19
My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch. ;Prov 19.12
The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass. ;

6. His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
Ps 52.8
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. ;Ps 128.3
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. ;Gen 27.27
And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed: ;Cant 4.11
Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon. ;

7. They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
Ps 91.1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. ;

9. Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through? ;Dan 12.10
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. ;Ioan 8.47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. ;Ioan 18.37
