1. All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
Deut 4.1
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. ;Deut 5.32-33
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. ;Deut 6.1-3
Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: ;
2. And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
Deut 1.3
And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them; ;Deut 2.7
For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing. ;Deut 29.5
And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. ;Ps 136.16
To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever. ;Amos 2.10
Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite. ;Ex 16.4
Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. ;Deut 13.3
Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. ;2Cron 32.31
Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart. ;Ioan 2.25
And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. ;
3. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Ex 16.2-3
And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: ;Ex 16.12-35
I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. ;Ps 104.29
Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. ;Mat 4.4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. ;Luc 4.4
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. ;
4. Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
Deut 29.5
And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. ;Neem 9.21
Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. ;
5. Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
2Sam 7.14
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: ;Ps 89.32
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. ;Prov 3.12
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. ;Evr 12.5-6
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: ;Apoc 3.19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. ;
6. Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Deut 5.33
Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess. ;
7. For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
Deut 11.10-12
For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs: ;
8. A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;
9. A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
Deut 33.25
Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. ;
10. When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
Deut 6.11-12
And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; ;
