1. Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
Prov 11.28
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. ;Luc 6.24
But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. ;1Tim 6.9
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. ;SMS

2. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
Iov 13.28
And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten. ;Mat 6.20
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: ;Iac 2.2

3. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

4. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

5. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

6. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

7. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Deut 11.14
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. ;Ier 5.24
Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. ;Osea 6.3

8. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. ;1Pet 4.7
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. ;SMS

9. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Iac 4.11
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. ;Mat 24.33
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. ;1Cor 4.5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. ;SMS

10. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Mat 5.12
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. ;Evr 11.35
Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: ;SMS
