1. James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
Fapt 12.17But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. ;
Fapt 15.13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: ;
Gal 1.19But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. ;

4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Iac 4.8Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. ;
9. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
10. But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
Iov 14.2He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. ;
Ps 37.2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. ;
Ps 90.5-6Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. ;
