1. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. ;1Ioan 4.2-15
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: ;Ioan 1.13
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ;Ioan 15.23

2. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

3. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. ;Mic 6.8

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. ;

4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. ;1Ioan 3.9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. ;1Ioan 4.4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. ;

5. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. ;1Ioan 4.15
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. ;

6. This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
Ioan 19.34
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. ;Ioan 14.17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. ;Ioan 15.26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: ;Ioan 16.13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. ;1Tim 3.16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ;

7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ;Apoc 19.13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. ;Ioan 10.13
The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. ;

8. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

9. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
Ioan 8.17-18
It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. ;Mat 3.16-17
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: ;Mat 17.5
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. ;

10. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
Rom 8.16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ;Gal 4.6
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. ;Ioan 3.33
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. ;Ioan 5.38
And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. ;
