1. Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
Ex 15.1Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. ;
Ps 18-titluI will love thee, O LORD, my strength. ;
2. Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.
2Cron 17.16And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor. ;
3. Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.
Deut 32.1-3Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. ;
Ps 2.10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. ;
4. LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
Deut 33.2And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. ;

2Sam 22.8Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth. ;
Ps 68.8The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. ;
Isa 64.3When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. ;
Hab 3.3-10God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. ;
5. The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.
Deut 4.11And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. ;
Ps 97.5The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. ;
Ex 19.18And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. ;
6. In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.
Jud 3.31And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel. ;
Jud 4.17Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite. ;
Lev 26.22I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate. ;
2Cron 15.5And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries. ;
Isa 33.8The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man. ;
PlThe ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness. ;
PlThey hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come. ;
7. The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.
Isa 49.23And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me. ;
8. They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
Deut 32.16They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. ;
Jud 2.12-17And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. ;
1Sam 13.19-22Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears: ;
Jud 4.3And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel. ;
9. My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.
Jud 5.2Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. ;
10. Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.
Ps 105.2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. ;
Ps 145.5I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. ;
Jud 10.4And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead. ;
Jud 12.14And he had forty sons and thirty nephews, that rode on threescore and ten ass colts: and he judged Israel eight years. ;
Ps 107.32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. ;
