11. And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.
1Sam 19.10
And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin: but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night. ;1Sam 20.33
And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David. ;Prov 27.4
Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? ;

12. And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.

Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him. ;1Sam 16.13-18
Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. ;1Sam 16.14

And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. ;

13. Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.

But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them. ;Num 27.17
Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. ;2Sam 5.2

14. And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.

15. Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.

16. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.

And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants. ;

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. ;

18. And David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father's family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?

Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? ;

19. But it came to pass at the time when Merab Saul's daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.

20. And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.

And Saul saw and knew that the LORD was with David, and that Michal Saul's daughter loved him. ;
