1. O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
Ex 15.17Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which thy hands have established. ;
Ps 74.2Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. ;
Ps 74.7They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. ;
2Imp 24.9And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done. ;
2Cron 36.19And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. ;
Mic 3.12Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest. ;
2. The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
Ier 7.33And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away. ;
Ier 16.4They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. ;
Ier 34.20I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth. ;
3. Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
Ps 141.7Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth. ;
Ier 14.16And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them. ;

4. We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

Ps 80.6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. ;
5. How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
Ps 74.1-10O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? ;
Ps 85.5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? ;
Ps 89.46How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire? ;
Tef 1.18Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. ;

6. Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
Ier 10.25Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate. ;
Apoc 16.1And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. ;
Isa 45.4-5For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. ;
2Tes 1.8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ;
Ps 53.4Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. ;
7. For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.
8. O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.
Isa 64.9Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people. ;
Deut 28.43The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. ;
Ps 142.6Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. ;
9. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
2Cron 14.11And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee. ;
Ier 14.7-21O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. ;
10. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.
Ps 42.10As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? ;
Ps 115.2Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? ;
