1. The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
Iov 19.24That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! ;

Isa 17.8And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. ;
Ier 2.20For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot. ;
SMS 3. O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
Ier 15.13Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. ;
SMS 4. And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.
Ier 16.13Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour. ;
Ier 15.14And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. ;
SMS 5. Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Isa 31.3Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. ;
SMS 6. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Ier 48.6Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness. ;
Iov 20.17He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter. ;
Deut 29.23And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath: ;
SMS 7. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Ps 2.12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. ;
Ps 34.8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. ;
Ps 125.1They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. ;
Ps 146.5Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: ;
Prov 16.20He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. ;
Isa 30.18And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. ;
SMS 8. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Ps 1.3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. ;
SMS 9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
SMS 10. I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
1Sam 16.7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. ;
