21. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Ier 12.11
They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart. ;

23. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ;

25. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Mat 20.22
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. ;Iac 4.3

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; ;

27. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
1Cron 28.9
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. ;Ps 7.9
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. ;Prov 17.3
The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts. ;Ier 11.20
But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause. ;Ier 17.10

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: ;

28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 9.11-24

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, ;

29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, ;Ioan 17.22
