1. Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
Rom 12.1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. ;2Cor 10.10
For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. ;2Cor 12.5-9
Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. ;
2. But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
1Cor 4.21
What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? ;2Cor 13.2-10
I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: ;
3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Efes 6.13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ;1Tes 5.8
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. ;1Tim 1.18
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; ;2Tim 2.3
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ;Fapt 7.22
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds. ;1Cor 2.5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. ;2Cor 6.7
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, ;2Cor 13.3-4
Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. ;Ier 1.10
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. ;
5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
1Cor 1.19
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. ;1Cor 3.19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. ;
6. And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
2Cor 13.2-10
I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: ;2Cor 2.9
For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. ;2Cor 7.15
And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him. ;
7. Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
Ioan 7.24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. ;2Cor 5.12
For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. ;2Cor 11.18
Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also. ;1Cor 14.37
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. ;Ioan 4.6
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. ;1Cor 3.23
And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. ;1Cor 9.1
Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? ;2Cor 11.23
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. ;
8. For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
2Cor 13.10
Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. ;2Cor 7.14
For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth. ;2Cor 12.6
For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. ;
9. That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10. For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
1Cor 2.3-4
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. ;2Cor 10.1
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: ;2Cor 12.5-9
Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. ;Gal 4.13
Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. ;1Cor 1.17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. ;1Cor 2.1-4
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. ;2Cor 11.6
But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things. ;
