1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
1Tim 4.1
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ;2Tim 4.3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; ;2Pet 3.3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, ;1Ioan 2.18
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. ;

2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; ;Rom 1.30
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, ;

3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, ;

4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. ;Filip 3.19
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) ;2Pet 2.13
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; ;

5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
1Tim 5.8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. ;Tit 1.16
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. ;2Tes 3.6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. ;1Tim 6.5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. ;

6. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. ;Tit 1.11
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. ;

7. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1Tim 2.4
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. ;

8. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. ;1Tim 6.5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. ;Rom 1.28

9. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

10. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. ;
