1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
Ioan 1.1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ;1Ioan 2.13
I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. ;Ioan 1.14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ;2Pet 1.16
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. ;1Ioan 4.14
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. ;Luc 24.39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. ;Ioan 20.27
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. ;SMS

2. (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ;1Ioan 3.5
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. ;Ioan 21.24
This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. ;Fapt 2.32
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ;1Ioan 5.20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. ;Ioan 1.1-2

3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. ;1Cor 1.9
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. ;1Ioan 2.24
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. ;SMS

4. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
Ioan 15.11
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. ;Ioan 16.24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. ;SMS

5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1Ioan 3.11
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. ;Ioan 1.9
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. ;Ioan 8.12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ;Ioan 9.5
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. ;Ioan 12.35-36
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. ;SMS

6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
2Cor 6.14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? ;1Ioan 2.4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ;SMS

7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Cor 6.11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ;Efes 1.7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ;Evr 9.14
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? ;1Pet 1.19
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: ;1Ioan 2.2
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world. ;Apoc 1.5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ;SMS

8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Imp 8.46
If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near; ;2Cron 6.36
If they sin against thee, (for there is no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near; ;Iov 9.2
I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? ;Iov 15.14
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ;Iov 25.4
How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? ;Prov 20.9
Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? ;Ecl 7.20
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. ;Iac 3.2
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. ;1Ioan 2.4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ;SMS

9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Ps 32.5
I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. ;Prov 28.13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. ;Ps 5.2
Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. ;1Ioan 1.7

10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
