1. Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2. But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

3. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? ;Gal 2.4
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: ;Gal 5.1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. ;Col 2.8-20
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. ;Evr 9.10
Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. ;

4. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. ;Dan 9.24
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. ;Marc 1.15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. ;Efes 1.10
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: ;Ioan 1.14

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; ;Filip 2.7
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ;Evr 2.14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; ;Gen 3.15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. ;Isa 7.14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. ;Mic 5.3
Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. ;Mat 1.23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. ;Luc 1.31
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. ;Luc 2.7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. ;Mat 5.17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. ;Luc 2.27
And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, ;

5. To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Mat 20.28
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. ;Gal 3.13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: ;Efes 1.7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ;Tit 2.14
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ;Evr 9.12
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ;1Pet 1.18-19
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; ;Ioan 1.12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: ;Gal 3.26
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. ;Efes 1.5
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, ;

6. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Rom 5.5
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. ;Rom 8.15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ;

7. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Rom 8.16-17
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ;Gal 3.29
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. ;

8. Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Efes 2.12
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: ;1Tes 4.5
Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: ;Rom 1.25
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. ;1Cor 12.2
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. ;Efes 2.11-12
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; ;1Tes 1.9
For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; ;

9. But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
1Cor 8.3
But if any man love God, the same is known of him. ;1Cor 13.12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. ;2Tim 2.19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. ;Gal 3.3
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? ;Col 2.20
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, ;Rom 8.3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: ;

10. Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
Rom 14.5
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. ;Col 2.16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: ;
