1. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Rom 13.1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. ;
1Pet 2.13Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; ;
Col 1.10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; ;
2Tim 2.21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. ;
Evr 13.21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ;
2. To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Efes 4.31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: ;
2Tim 2.24-25And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, ;
Filip 4.5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. ;
Efes 4.2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; ;

1Cor 6.11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ;

5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Rom 3.20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. ;
Rom 9.11(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) ;
Rom 11.6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. ;

6. Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Rom 3.24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ;
Gal 2.16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. ;

8. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
1Tim 1.15This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. ;
Tit 1.9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. ;

Tit 3.14And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. ;
Tit 2.14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ;
9. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
1Tim 1.4Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. ;
2Tim 2.23But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. ;
Tit 1.14Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. ;
2Tim 2.14Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. ;
10. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
2Cor 13.2I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: ;
Mat 18.17And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. ;
Rom 16.17Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. ;
2Tes 3.6-14Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. ;
2Tim 3.5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. ;
